Full cemetery or individual stone repairs and restorations
We work for private and municipal cemeteries all over the Southeast to restore large portions of cemeteries, or even entire cemeteries!
Just because a stone is broken, doesn't mean it needs to be replaced. Often, a memorial can be repaired without drastically compromising the original appearance of the stone. That said, not all stones can be repaired. In all cases, we want to preserve a historical piece before replacing it, but if your family's stone needs to be replaced, we can make exact duplicates.
No cleaning job is too big! We will clean entire lots including walls, coping, gravel and statues, or we can tackle individual tombstones. No matter the size of the job, we won't quit until your memorial looks its best. Before you ask; we never use a pressure washer inside cemeteries. Ask us why! Inquire about our maintenance program, too!
Sometimes when a tombstone is hard to read, it's just in need of cleaning. Other times, it may need to be re-painted so that you can read it and see its images again. Even if it's just faded or worn, there are ways we can enhance a memorial without compromising what the stone was supposed to look like originally.
We use high quality products from the actual bronze manufacturers to refinish bronze memorials. They'll look better than new! We have more cost-effective options for this service as well such as polishing or using different materials. Don't hesitate to ask!
If you can dream it, we can do it!
Bronze is one of the few materials that can outlast stone under certain circumstances (have you ever heard of the Antikythera shipwreck bronze sculptures?). For memorial parks, bronze is often the only option. If you can dream it, we can put it on bronze. (Portraits, too!)
Need a single upright memorial? We make unique stones with beautiful materials! (See our photos for a few examples). Individual memorials come in a multitude of colors, shapes and sizes, suitable for all budgets.
Flat memorials are often more cost-friendly than uprights, and in some cemeteries, they're the only memorials allowed. We will work with you to come up with a design you'll love.
For upright memorials, we work closely with an associate company to offer competitive prices on high quality products. Upright memorials are currently only available in Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia.
We will happily make a memorial for your beloved pet which you can pick up or we can have shipped to your door! Images of your pet can be added, paw prints, names, dates and more.
For when something is broken, or you just want to add a new element to an existing stone
Before the 1970s, marble vases were much cheaper than granite because they were easier to turn. They often come loose from their base and fall over, getting chipped and broken. Sometimes, even lawnmowers or vehicles hit them and break them. We can replace marble vases with exact or near exact duplicates. Even unusual and old-style vases can be custom turned for exact duplicates. No vase too big or small!
Granite vases are more popular on modern memorials. They, like their marble counterparts, fall over and get chipped and broken. They can be replaced with exact or near exact duplicates and unusual granite vases can be custom turned exact duplicates.
Bronze vases are mostly found in memorial parks, where they are sometimes broken, lost, damaged or stolen. We can replace your bronze vase with an exact duplicate!
Memorials are sometimes made without a place for a vase to be attached. Families can find this troubling when they want to honor their loved ones with flowers. We can sometimes add pedestals in front of or beside memorials to add a vase for flowers. Pedestals can be above ground or flush in the ground and come in many colors.
In cemeteries which allow them, foot markers can be added to a lot. Sometimes these are to match a veteran's marker in the lot. Other times, the foot markers serve to add a loving quote, date, or image that didn't fit on the monument, or add an idea that wasn't thought of before the stone was set. Foot markers are also used to mark cremains which are added to grave lots. Foot markers come in a multitude of colors and sizes, so we can find something suitable for you and your loved one.
We don't stop at the basics!
Instead of a sign, how about having your house number engraved on river rock, sandstone, granite or marble? We can even have them cast in bronze! These stones/ bronze scrolls can be put into a hardscape such as a block wall, or be set by your mailbox or door to direct people to your house number or address.
We can refinish historical marker bronze signs with high quality materials and polish which will make them shine again!
We go to cemeteries and add the date of a loved ones passing to existing stones. This service starts at $250.
